How many of you can read music (staff notation)? I'm fluent with treble and bass clef, but never had any need to use others {minty}

I can sort of read treble/bass clef, but I never stick to set pieces, so I've never used proper sheet music ... (by that I mean I'm an improv king ). I have a very good ear, so usually I work songs out very quickly just by listening to them - often I will hear a song just once, and then the next day I can play it note-for-note without ever having practised it. Sometimes I use tabs for REALLY hard stuff (eg, Yngwie Malmsteen), but that is a rare occurence.

Not at all - I am self taught from 1982 - I play by ear and have very very good pitch..... I think!
We use Cubase SX in the studio which cheats and prints out the actual score for you... (sorry)
I was going to learn but found I was getting on OK anyway - I write and sing my own songs...

I can read basic sheet music... but nowadays I just use guitar tab and cords. Don't really have a need for anything else other than that unless I'm playing a classical piece.

I'm fluent in treble clef and have some experience in bass clef from piano. I consider myself to be a good sight reader.
